Serge Tiroche Contemporary at Africa Basel

In 2025, Serge Tiroche Contemporary participated in the first Africa Basel, a visionary contemporary art fair whose mission aligned perfectly with that of Africa First: promoting African and diaspora artists to international audiences and institutions.
In addition to serving on the fair’s selection committee and supporting its promotion within the art world, we presented a special standalone booth featuring highlights from the Africa First collection, including works by major artists such as Igshaan Adams, Turiya Magadlela, Nirit Takele, Bronwyn Katz, Ephrem Solomon, Serge Attukwei Clottey, Joana Choumali, Tiffanie Delune, Simphiwe Mbunyuza, and others.
Visitors to the booth were able to experience these tactile, materially rich, and conceptually compelling works up close, gaining insight into the diversity and depth of contemporary African art.
