At that time, Mrs. Stonorov was a student at the Barnes Foundation and was friends with John Dewey, Bertrand Russell, and Dr. Barnes. Oskar Stonorov was a highly regarded 20th Century architect, also friendly with important cultural figures such as Diego Rivera, Frank Lloyd Wright and Le Corbusier. His prolific career was notable for his continuous interest in architectural innovation, marked by several modern housing ventures in the United States.
