Lilach Shahar (b. 1974, Israel) is an Israeli contemporary artist whose practice spans painting, drawing, and mixed media. Her works often combine staged imagery, personal narratives, and dreamlike situations to explore identity, memory, intimacy, and the search for emotional refuge. In series such as Bear Hug, Shahar places herself and other figures within imagined or theatrical settings, blurring the boundaries between autobiography, fantasy, and representation.
