German painter Christian Schoeler has crafted his latest piece on handmade paper, "Purple and White"; a modern piece which, at the same time, tips its hat to the belle epoque and the art of the fin de siecle of the 19th century. In the quiet equanimity transmitted to us by the gaze of the figure, we are invited to consider a state of carefree contemplation as we are enveloped in rich, warm textures and hues and as a delicious, floating feeling carries us  along.
Schoeler has created the edition "Puple and White"while taking part in an Artist Residence program in Galerie Urs Meile in Beijing which gave him the opportunity to look into Chinies culture and into contemporary art scene in Beijing.
