Mashudu Nevhutalu (b. 1992, Johannesburg, South Africa) is a South African contemporary artist whose practice explores memory, family histories, identity, and collective experience. Working primarily through painting and mixed media, he draws on archival family photographs and personal memories, reimagining them through vibrant color and layered compositions. Influenced early on by Johannesburg’s graffiti and street murals, Nevhutalu uses intimate narratives to reflect on broader questions of South African history, belonging, and remembrance.
