Born in Ethiopia in 1982 and immigrated to Israel on “Moses Operation" in 1984. Works and lives in Tel Aviv. Worke studied painting with Israel Hershberg, Aram Gershuni, and in the art program at Musrara School of Art and Society in Jerusalem. Her work has been featured in solo and group shows at the Eretz Israel Museum, Tel Aviv; Tel Aviv Artists’ House; Jerusalem Artists’ House; and Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art. She is the winner of the 2019 Miron Sima Prize for the Visual Arts, and in 2020 received the Lauren & Mitchell Presser Contemporary Art Grant.
