MORENA, 2019
I created this piece in honor of my queer sister, actually for all queer womxn who constantly fight for visibility every day in our communities. My sister was brutally beaten by officer Cele (who was not in his uniform) saying how dare she try to defend me. He beat her to strip her dignity. He beat her cause he felt his masculinity was threatened, he beat her to purely dehumanize her.
