The concept of the artwork titled ‘New year’s eve’ revolves around the idea of happiness and love. There is sense of intimacy between the two figures kissing and holding each other tight, love brings them together. This work depicts festive season vibes, especially within black communities. During this period, families, friends, and couples get to spend more time together and celebrate and reflect on the passing year. People celebrate new year’s eve in various ways, but all with the common wish that the new year brings everything they desire.
