Ibrahim Mahama (b. 1987, Tamale, Ghana) is a Ghanaian contemporary artist known for large-scale installations that transform found and repurposed materials, particularly jute sacks, textiles, and remnants of industrial infrastructure. His practice examines histories of labor, global trade, migration, colonialism, and the circulation of commodities. Mahama has exhibited internationally, including at the Venice Biennale, documenta, the Barbican Centre, and the Tel Aviv Museum of Art. He is also the founder of several cultural institutions in Tamale, including the Savannah Centre for Contemporary Art and Red Clay Studio.
