The series focuses on representations of school facades. The facades strive for Formalism. The series symbolizes and demonstrates the absence of values, supposed to be provided and nurtured by schools. Manipulating the photos also enables me to blur and erase different functions of the buildings such as teachers lounges and classrooms from the viewer’s eyes, thus canceling the structure’s functionality, reflecting and indicating the school’s social failure.
