Rimma Arslanov (b. 1978, Tajikistan) is an Israeli artist based in Düsseldorf, Germany. Raised in Uzbekistan before immigrating to Israel in 2000, Arslanov draws upon a distinctive combination of Central Asian, Muslim, Soviet and Israeli cultural influences. Working across painting, drawing, sculpture and animation, she creates surreal, dreamlike worlds in which architecture, decorative ornament and everyday objects become psychologically charged.

Her works often balance beauty and unease: domestic interiors, curtains and furniture merge with wounds, weapons and unstable architectural forms. Through these unexpected combinations, Arslanov explores migration, memory, cultural identity, conflict and survival. She studied at the Avni Institute and Hamidrasha in Israel before completing postgraduate studies at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne. In 2022, she received the academy’s Promotional Award for Women Artists, followed by an exhibition at Museum Morsbroich. Her work has also been shown at Kunstpalast Düsseldorf, the Museum for Islamic Art in Jerusalem and the Israeli Center for Digital Art.
