Moris (Israel Moreno) (b. 1978, Mexico City) is a Mexican contemporary artist whose practice examines the social and political realities of urban life. Working across painting, sculpture, installation, photography, and found materials, he draws heavily on the streets of Mexico City and on informal economies, violence, marginalization, and survival. His raw, materially driven works often incorporate discarded objects and imagery gathered from public space, transforming them into reflections on inequality, power, and everyday life. His work has been exhibited internationally and is held in collections including MoMA, MOCA Los Angeles, and Colección Jumex.
