In Wurm’s Stone sculptures, the weighty mass of a stone stands in for the body, perched atop legs that exhibit different stances and characteristics―some barefoot or booted―hinting at a distinct personality. The series demonstrates Wurm's continued interest in familiar and everyday forms wherein he alters, re-envisions and anthropomorphizes them to challenge our psychological perceptions of the object in reality.
