In honour of International Workers' Day, we featured 27 Zimbabwean artists whose work honours the daily labour of workers in various occupations. Some of these occupations may appear antiquated or perhaps unethical to Western viewers, yet they represent essential means of survival for many Zimbabweans. This exhibition serves as a reminder of our connection to the land and to the materials readily available to us in our daily lives, while valuing craftsmanship and autodidactic practices.
